At the end of June, Simm Engineering Group relocated from Attercliffe to Dinnington. The move helped us to improve our customer offering with more space to hold stock for our air compressor hire fleet and pneumatic trade counter.
Moving across Sheffield gave us extra space to expand, but it has also given us a new community to get to know and to support.
One of our closest new neighbours is Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Bluebell Wood offers care and support to children and young adults whose lives are just too short. They support families who face unimaginable realities every day, helping them to make the most of each moment, whether they have days, months or years together with their child.
When we realised we would be so close to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we knew we had to pledge to support them where we could. This is why we have joined the Bluebell Wood 365 Business Club.
“Over the last year I have been managing the Simm Engineering Group relocation. I have watched the development and investment made in both our unit and the business park around us. I think it is essential that as we set our sights on growing our business in this area we also give back into our new community.
“Living locally, I have been involved with fundraising for Bluebell Wood before and have seen the fantastic work they do for families. As a father myself I was keen for Simm Engineering Group to be involved and I am proud we have pledged to join the 365 Business Club” Alan Kerr, General Manager, Simm Engineering Group
Matt Sheridan, Corporate Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new neighbours at Simm Engineering Group to both our 365 Business Club and to Dinnington.
“At Bluebell Wood we’re very much a part of the community so it’s fantastic to have the support of a local business that is dedicated to giving something back.
“We rely on our supporters to help local families through some of the most difficult times they’ll ever face, so the support of businesses like Simm Engineering group really does make a big difference.
“We’ll look forward to working closely with you over the weeks and months ahead.”
