Case Studies

  • Blower System Upgrade at Severn Trent Water Treatment Plants

As part of a major infrastructure refurbishment across six water treatment plants, Severn Trent Water implemented a series of upgrades to its Rapid Gravity Filter (RGF) systems. A key objective was to improve operational efficiency, reduce contamination risk, and ensure a reliable supply of clean drinking water to a growing population.

  • Energy-Efficient Blower Upgrade at Nigg Wastewater Treatment Works

Scottish Water Services, operating under a 28-year DBFO contract with Scottish Water, sought to modernise its aeration process at the Nigg Wastewater Treatment Works, which serves a population of 250,000. The primary goal was to address inefficiencies, reduce operational risk, and lower energy costs associated with the plant’s traditional lobe-type blowers used in its Biological Air Flooded Filter (BAFF) process.
