The PPS Annual Charity Golf Day is one of the most popular charity events we hold, enjoyed by staff, suppliers and customers – and this year was no exception.
The 2022 Golf Day took place on Thursday 21 July at the regular venue of Crow Nest Park Golf Club, just the other side of Brighouse from our head office.
Nine teams of four teed off straight after breakfast and luckily the rain stopped just in time for the start of the competition and didn’t start again until after the players were safely back in the clubhouse!
Those taking part included the founder of PPS Gary Whitaker, our Managing Director Ian Harrison and Operations Manager Matt O’Connor.
The Winning Team members were: Alexander Pavalov (Atlas Copco), Mark Gledhill (PPS), Paul Clark (Atlas Copco) and Matt O’Connor, and the accolade of Individual Winner went to Mark Sissons (PPS).
Paul Clark made it Nearest the Pin and the Longest Drive was awarded to Jake Bickerton (Coveris). Finally, the Dave Deakin memorial trophy was presented to Gary Whitaker.
As usual, Atlas Copco sponsored the raffle prizes, balls and trophies, with the raffle raising £360 for Overgate Hospice, an independent charity based in Elland with a mission to ensure that the patients they care for, and those close to them, live with the best possible quality of life.
Thanks to all who took part and many congratulations to the winners!
