Meet our new Junior Service Engineer

Scarlett O'Connor |

Our in-house team of engineers work hard to meet customer needs on site every day. Here we introduce our newest recruit, Dimitri, a multiskilled engineer not afraid to get stuck in…

Name: Dimitri Solomi

Job Title: Junior Service Engineer

Background:

After serving in the British army, Dimitri started his training to become a Service Engineer within Building Services. He has been working as a HVAC Engineer for the last 3 years and is currently working towards his NVQ Level 3 qualification in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps.

Role:

Dimitri’s role as a Junior Service Engineer is to ensure customer equipment is working at the optimum level for efficiency and to fix any breakdown if it occurs. His main focus is with HVAC & Chiller equipment, with additional in-house training on air compressors & refrigerant dryers. Dimitri is well on his way to becoming a multiskilled engineer, able to deal with anything a PPS customer might need.

Most rewarding part of the job:

“For me the most rewarding part of the job is getting to do what I like and enjoy every day. I like being hands on and doing practical tasks, knowing that the work I do helps people’s businesses is a big motivation.

“Being an engineer also means you get very dirty – which I love. Keeping clean and pristine is just not me, I’m always the one found getting my hands dirty.

“I love being part of PPS, and joining the company is by far the best decision I’ve made, working with such a great team everyday means I enjoy coming into work.”

When not at work you’ll find him:

Dimitri loves fishing – when the British weather permits it of course. He enjoys cycling for social enjoyment but most weekends you will find him going a little faster on a motorbike!

Welcome to the PPS team Dimitri!
