Who is behind the Business for Calderdale Awards?
Business for Calderdale is a not-for-profit organisation, which has as its aim: “To generate opportunities for the business community in Calderdale to build links with one another, helping to create, develop and re-generate business, commerce and industry within the area.”
The organisation hosts regular networking events and runs an online platform where members can exchange ideas, find out useful information and build a network that provides mutual benefits.
By encouraging support and forging links within the business community, including companies procuring and supplying locally, Business for Calderdale promotes the development of commerce and industry across the region.
PPS sponsors the Manufacturing Award
As a local business, we are proud to be sponsoring the Manufacturing Award.
Recognising the achievements of manufacturing businesses who have “delivered consistent growth and who demonstrate innovative products and processes and a fully engaged workforce”, the award is for companies with fewer than 249 employees.
Manufacturers are a major contributor to the local economy and the award will celebrate companies who create high-quality and innovative products, have seen sustainable growth and can show good support for their employees, for example with training and staff development. It will also recognise those businesses that demonstrate a commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and make a contribution to the local community.
Whether you’re nominating your own company or another local business, the application is quick and easy – just visit the Business for Calderdale website and help promote Calderdale as a place to do business!
